Droopy Eyelid
Droopy Eyelid
Droppy eyelid
A drooping eyelid is also called ptosis or blepharoptosis. This condition causes the border of the upper eyelid to fall to a lower position than normal. In severe cases, the drooping eyelid can cover all, or part of the pupil and interfere with vision. Ptosis can affect one or both eyes.
What are the causes of Droopy Eyelids?
In some cases, droopy eyelids are caused by more serious conditions, such as a stroke, brain tumour, or cancer of the nerves or muscles. Neurological disorders that affect the nerves or muscles of the eyes — such as myasthenia gravis — can also lead to ptosis.
HOW IS THIS TREATED?
Injections of dermal fillers can tighten the skin of the eyelids, and also with help of COG Thread Lifts to the top eyelid. Another successful treatment is Plasma fibroblast (Plexer).
